<LordHydronium> "Star Wars: Rebellion will not be returning, Stradley said to the apparent dismay of several in the audience. Stradley later explained that Rebellion is cancelled for two reasons. First, he said that he has a “never ending struggle to keep the line fresh and not fall into the same stuff happening every month.” Additionally, the timeline was taking the comics into “really continuity...
<LordHydronium> ...heavy...
<LordHydronium> ...territory” where he was “afraid that we couldn’t tell stories that were exciting” without contradicting other elements of Star Wars canon."

<RF> Unnecessary comic.
<LtNOWIS_> but it had a Gorax
<Trip> Heh, yeah
<Trip> Rogue Leader sucked
<RF> That part was fine.
<RF> But the rest of it made no sense.
<Trip> like, there was nothing good about it
<RF> Rogues on Corellia?
<Trip> Haden ftl
<RF> Um...
<RF> Its still an Imperial planet!

RE: For the Notes to the Old Republic column in the KOTOR comics

Does no one write letters any more?

You know - pen and paper? Envelope and postage stamp?

Stop making up words, grandpa.

The KOTOR comic was soo long... So many details and plots going on at once - interweaving - that I couldn't read it while the kids were coming... I read through it and realized (still during trick or treating) that I hadn't learned anything... Except -

That Jaraels boobs are actually taking over her body...

But why would his name be Alek & then suddenly he'd be DARTH MALAK...

That doesn't make sense to me...

That's like Anakin becoming a Sith and then the emperor says...

I SHALL CALL YOU... "DARTH... MANAKIN"...

"You may be a very powerful sith lord but your creativity should certainly be questioned, master"

The galaxy seems to change more in the 1,000 between TotJ and KotOR than it does in the following 5,000 years. If we follow the TotJ style to its logical conclusion, in 10,000 BBY, Jedi were space-cavemen wearing wompa pelt loincloths and weilding vibro-clubs. They wouldn't develop the technology for thatch-roof cantinas until 8,000 BBY.

Krayt is Zayne Carrick. That prophecy just took a long time to come true. His armor was colored red at one point; after 4000 years the paint just came off.

> It seems that the Marvel comics have a massive "nostalgia" effect on the people who read them as kids, and still love them,

Thats exactly how I look at them. When I want to read a good Star Wars comic, do I reach for my ALTA? No, I'll root through some Clone Wars/Republic or Tales of the Jedi trades/comics.

When I want to read something while taking a dump, I'll either grab Tales, or ALTA.

saems tory, someone in trouble, someone gives something up, time to save someone, and in the end very few big battles, and probably the same red, blue, green colored lightsabers, and while we are at it....the wonderful delays that have the people at the darkhorse site defend and say ohhhhh quality. Wonderful!

Thanks to all of YOU for buying our books and making our relaunch such a resounding success. If you think this year has been great, wait 'til you see what we're cooking up for '07!

edit: Had to correct my dates there -- been messing about in the time machine a bit too much. That might partially explain why the books are late...
