And I have to agree with Ulicus - I kinda wanted him to be named a Jedi Knight, as opposed to declining because he (and we) know he still is a true Jedi. Even if he didn't stick around.
Hmm, maybe something like this?
Council: Zayne Carrick, we hereby name you a Jedi Knight!
Zayne: Thanks, I'm honored and all that - Bye!
Council: What? Wait a sec-
Zayne: Uh-uh, too late, no take-backs. I'm outta here.

[10:59:43] Muuurgh: Gryph: Pssst! More sullen Sith boy! Act like you've swallowed a bug!
[11:00:41] TrakNar: Zayne: *Gag, hack, cough, phlegm*

And then his mommy will send her winged monkeys to get Zayne, and steal the ruby holocron from him! And his only hope for survival will be the Cowardly Snivvian, the Tin Mando and the Jaraelcrow!
<Muuuurgh> Zayne = random rakghoul slain by Revan and his party.
Also, this is the second time that Zayne's been rescued from certain death at the hands of the Jedi Masters (in the same place, no less), by his love interest wielding a borrowed lightsaber. He ought to go looking for more of them; they're coming in mighty useful...
RE: Knights of the Old Republic #22: Knights of Suffering, part 1 (of 3)
Silly Zayne, don't you know Heavy Armor magically disables the Force?- CountSephula
Krayt is Zayne Carrick. That prophecy just took a long time to come true. His armor was colored red at one point; after 4000 years the paint just came off.

<LucidFox> I don't believe that Zayne will become a Sith
<LucidFox> I think that would be like drawing parallels between him and Anakin - and Zayne is not Anakin, he's an anti-Anakin, so to speak
<The4dotelipsis> Eh.
<The4dotelipsis> But somebody said he was going to snack on worlds!

<LordHydronium> That's "Worldz", the hip new burger joint on Taris

Just because it's 4000 years doesn't mean Zayne's dead. What if he learns to flow-walk? Or what if he dies and then his spirit takes over the body of an Anakin Solo clone to help Luke fight the resurrected Sith? Wouldn't that be a cool plot? What does everybody else think?
How come everyone wants Zayne to die already, anyway? Just so that the next generation of heroes can take over? That's not a good reason. There aren't any strong characters to take over for Zayne when he died. Who wants to read a whole comic book about Jarael? I think it's unfair that you want Zayne to die. It's not his fault that this era's underdeveloped.
If Zayne dies, there won't be any reason to read the EU anymore.

I dunno, something tells me Zayne's intentions were for the fight to end with him on his back with Jarael laying on top of him...

- Adam, what myth are we testing today?
- Oh, you'll like this one, Jamie. There are rumors that Zayne Carrick is going to become the nameless protagonist of the second KOTOR game, who is canonically female and called the Jedi Exile!
- Alright, how are we going to test this?
- We'll be taking five thousand copies of KOTOR II, running them over with steamrollers, shooting them, setting them on fire, and blowing them up. We'll see if that can change canon so that this myth can be true.
- You're not serious, Adam?
- No, I just wanted an excuse to destroy stuff.
- Fair enough, let's go for it.
- Sikon and Havac
